Omniage aims to become the worlds first app made to promote active aging through fall risk monitoring. In this second version, we also included the Tinetti method, an international and more robust method for estimating fall risk. In fact, the first version was based only on the 30" stand up, that is, getting up and sitting down from the chair.
The elderly person can perform both tests comfortably at home without going to specialized clinical centers, but we strongly suggest the supervision of a care giver.

Omniage is a system consisting of an app and proprietary artificial intelligence algorithms. Using your smartphone for a few minutes a month, Omniage allows you to quantify your risk of falling, thus promoting active aging.

The proprietary algorithms are Machine Learning applications that use the inertial sensors found in all smartphones and are based on the movements of the exercises that the app clearly and quietly tells you to perform.

How it works: after registering and entering his or her data, the user (the elderly person) can consult the guides for the correct executions of the tests. Then he/she can take the first test (the standup test) and the system immediately returns the risk factor for falling by showing a traffic light to make it easier to read the result. The standup test has a duration of 30 seconds and the goal is to perform the greatest number of rises from the chair.
The second test on the other hand, Tinetti test, the application guides the user in small exercises, such as getting up from the chair, turning around 360 degrees, walking forward, etc. Upon completion of these exercises, again a small traffic light is shown as the result and the information is saved for later reference.

We always suggest doing both tests with the supervision of in care givers who can also be entered into the Omniage app to be updated of the results.

Dates of falls can be entered in the Omniage app so that events can be tracked.
Medical specialists thus can use this information to better make their decisions.
In addition, care givers can be entered directly by the elderly user so that they can receive updates on tests performed and be present to perform them.

At the end of each exercise, it is welcome to receive feedback on the experience since the app is completely innovative and our goal is to get better and better every day with user input.
